HUD Awards Record $2 Billion to Thousands of Local Homeless Assistance Programs Across the U.S.
The U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development today awarded a record $2 billion to support more than 7,300 local homeless assistance programs across the nation. HUD's Continuum of Care grants provide critically needed support to local programs on the front lines of serving individuals and families experiencing homelessness.
Press Release: State Homeless Agencies Plan 2018 Annual Homeless Census
The Mississippi Balance of State CoC (BoS), a group whose membership includes the majority of homeless service providers in Mississippi, plans to conduct a homeless census – also known as a Point in Time Count (PIT) - on January 22-26, 2018. The BoS’s target area includes all the state, excluding the Jackson Urbanized area and the Mississippi Gulf Coast.
